My gift guide for your mums - Small business edition

The last few months have been so crazy and I have found myself in a position where I have been lucky enough to grow and develop my Instagram and blog. I have worked with some incredible small businesses throughout these tough times and with many birthdays happening throughout lockdown I felt it was a great time to be able to produce a little guide, solely made up of independent businesses.

I have my own mums birthday coming up in August and I've found i'm always going for the same presents for her, I hope this guide gives you some inspiration like it has done for me!

All of the products featured in this guide have been generously gifted to me for this guide and aren't they just stunning!

Louise  from SewBeIt is incredibly talented and makes a variety of gifts and cards using embroidery and felt. She sent me this gorgeous embroidered greetings card and i'm incredibly impressed with the detail on it, it's clear that Louise takes her time and loves making these intricate pieces.
You can buy her greetings cards and other items on her etsy, with greetings cards starting at £7.00

Carolyn from Venus In Stars sent me her Soap Surprise box, you could smell the soaps before I even opened the packaging! My favourite has to be the Berry Blast, these are seriously unlike any soaps i've found on the shelves of shops, I just can't describe the smell! All the soaps are all handmade in Scotland and ingredients sourced from ethical companies. She also makes a variety of facial, bath,  beard oils plus so much more. All of Lauren's products are based off  a variety of TV shows, books and films. They're a fantastic gift if your mum is obsessed with something like mine! I've recently partnered with Sophie from Shutter Jewellery for a competition and she sent me this stunning pair of handmade 'Ladybird earrings' All of her jewellery are handmade, the photos are taken by herself and then scaled down for the jewellery. She has a number of ranges from the ladybird as above to flowers and butterflies. A pattern to suit every mum out there. Sophie's earrings start at £20.00 and can be found on her shop.

Sarah from Dottery Pottery sent me this stunning handmade hanging heart ornament, it's beautifully made and the detail is beautiful. Sarah makes a variety of fun and cheerful ceramics ranging from these hanging pieces to buttons and earrings in all colours under the sun. You can find her whole range on her Folksy page, with there heart ornaments starting at £6.00

All of Caron's works are inspired by symmetry and geometric shapes, her collections also consist of a wide range of bracelets and necklaces. All her products can be bought on her Etsy page and her earrings start at £14.99

The last piece is this beautifully hand painted clay heart has been made by Abbey at Painting with Poppy. She paints both clay pieces and wood slices, taking requests of portraits and buisness logos and inspiration pieces like this gorgeous jellyfish, the colours are beautiful and I can't imagine how long it took to paint the tentacles on this delicate piece. All of Abbey's work can be found on her Etsy page and clay pieces start at £8.00

Hopefully you've found a brand or a product you would love to send your mum or at least given you some inspiration, I most certainly have and i'm incredibly lucky to have partnered with such talented ladies to produce this blog post.
